Car won’t start this morning?
Cold Tooele mornings finish off weak batteries and expose tired starters and alternators. We test the whole charging system where the car sits, so you’re not just guessing with a new battery.

Meet Ricardo
Whenever I step away from this work, I miss it.
Ricardo trained at UTI and started doing mobile repair in Florida before bringing it home to Tooele. He runs Utah Roadrunner with his wife, Jessica.
He’d rather find the real problem than sell you parts you don’t need. If something can wait, he’ll tell you. If it can’t, he’ll show you why.

Mobile mechanic questions people ask
How much does a mobile mechanic charge in Tooele?
Most mechanics charge for labor by the hour plus parts. Around Tooele, shop labor commonly runs $100 to $150 an hour. Our labor rate is $120 an hour, and our $120 diagnostic fee goes toward the repair if you book it. You get a written quote with the full price before any work starts.
How much does it cost to get a mobile mechanic out?
It depends on the job. There is no trip fee anywhere in Tooele County. Outside the county, like Salt Lake, Ogden or Orem, there is a flat $60 trip fee. Either way, it is on your quote before we head out. Nothing gets added after the fact.
Is it cheaper to use a mobile mechanic?
Often, yes. There is no tow, no ride to arrange and no day lost in a waiting room. For big jobs that need a lift, a shop is the better call, and we will tell you that up front.
Is $100 an hour fair for mechanic labor?
In the Tooele area, yes, that is a normal rate. What matters more is how many hours you are billed. Always ask for a written quote with the total before work starts.
Can you come to my work?
Yes, as long as there is a safe, flat spot to park and work. If it is a private lot, check that your employer is fine with it.
What are your hours?
We take jobs Thursday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Send a request anytime and we will text you back.
Do you bring the parts?
Yes. We usually order parts online ahead of time, which keeps your cost down, and bring them to the job.
What can’t you fix on-site?
Jobs that need a lift, like head gaskets, transmissions and big engine work. We will tell you straight and point you to a shop we trust.
What kinds of vehicles do you work on?
Most cars, trucks and SUVs, including European cars. Diesel trucks, hybrids, RVs and trailers are case by case. Send the year, make and model and we will tell you if it is a fit.
How do I pay?
You get an invoice by text or email when the job is done and can pay by card from your phone.
Tell us what’s wrong
Send the details and Ricardo will text you back with next steps and a quote.
