How mobile repair works
- Tell us what’s going on. Call, text or send the form with the year, make and model and what the car is doing. A photo or a video of the noise helps a lot.
- Get an upfront quote. You know the price before any work starts. Labor is $120 an hour. If it needs diagnosis, the $120 diagnostic fee goes toward the repair. See pricing.
- We come to you. Your driveway, your work lot, the seller’s place if you are buying. We order the parts ahead of time and bring them.
- Pay from your phone. The invoice comes by text or email and you pay by card.
Where we can work
- Home driveways and garages
- Work parking lots, with your employer’s OK
- Apartment lots, if the property allows it
- A private seller’s home for a pre-purchase inspection
- Dealer and business lots
We need a safe, mostly flat spot with room to open the hood and doors. Busy roadsides are not safe for anyone. More detail in what a mobile mechanic can fix in your driveway.

What needs a shop
Head gaskets, transmissions, clutches and big engine work need a lift. So do a few starters, sensors and leaks that are buried deep. We will tell you before we start, and point you to a shop we trust.
Is a mobile mechanic cheaper?
Often. You skip the tow, you don’t lose half a day, and you’re not paying for a shop building and a waiting room. For bigger jobs a shop can make more sense, and we will say so. Our post on mobile mechanic vs shop costs goes through it.
Winter in Tooele
Cold mornings are when a lot of cars give up, usually from a weak battery or a tired starter or alternator. Those are some of the most common mobile calls we get. See car won’t start.
