Time for a fluid service if
- Your owner’s manual interval is coming up
- Brake fluid looks dark instead of clear or amber
- Coolant looks rusty or has debris in it
- Transmission fluid is dark or smells burnt
- You bought a used car with no service records
Brake fluid flush
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and can corrode parts inside the brake system. Many manufacturers call for a flush every few years. We replace the old fluid and bleed the system.
Coolant flush
Old coolant loses its protection against corrosion and freezing. We drain and refill with the correct coolant type for your engine. Mixing the wrong types can cause problems. See cooling system repair if you have a leak or overheating.
Transmission fluid service
Transmission fluid service follows your manufacturer’s schedule. Some transmissions have a drain plug and are serviced with a drain and fill. We will tell you what your vehicle calls for.
Done in your driveway?
Brake fluid, coolant and most transmission fluid services are driveway jobs.
When it needs a shop
Transmission repairs are not something we do on-site. If the transmission is already slipping or shifting badly, it needs a shop.
